Medical Technologist/MLT- Microbiology (1/24/08)

Borgess Health, located in Kalamazoo, MI., is currently seeking qualified Medical Technologists or Medical Laboratory Technicians to work in our state of the art Microbiology lab. This is a full-time, second shift, Monday - Friday position.
Borgess’ laboratories are a busy hospital-based referral laboratory performing over one million tests per year. Using state of the art equipment, our technologists and technicians work in an innovatively designed laboratory that offers a pleasant working environment. With the support of six pathologists, our medical technologists and technicians are part of a dynamic team that supports the healthcare mission of Borgess Health. Borgess’ laboratory also offers a full spectrum of laboratory services, including blood bank, pathology, chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, hematology, serology, microbiology, virology and coagulation. The laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of a Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technician program and ASCP registry or registry eligibility required.
• Hospital laboratory and microbiology experience strongly preferred.
• At least one year of hospital experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician preferred.

Medical Technologist/ Medical Laboratory Technician (1/24/08)

A full-time third shift and regular part-time, (24 hr. per week), second shift position is available. We also have a regular part time, third shift available at our Borgess PIPP location in Plainwell, MI.

seeking an individual with a Bachelor of Science degree, MLT or MT certification
(or eligible) for a full time position in Microbiology. Our Microbiology department
uses a BD Phoenix analyzer for ID and Sensitivity and a BD BacTec for Blood
