Lindsy Hengesbach

Lindsy Hengesbach received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Michigan University in 2001 and her Master’s degree in clinical laboratory science from Michigan State University in 2004. Her research, in conjunction with Dr. Kathy Hoag, involved assessing the effect of retinoic acid on the development and maturation of dendritic cells. She has also completed the MT certificate programs in both Molecular Diagnostics and Immunodiagnostics. Before she came to MSU, she worked for the Michigan Department of Community Health Infectious Disease Division in the HIV Unit where she gained experience performing highly complex molecular assays and CD4/CD8 lymphocyte enumeration via flow cytometry.
